Celebrating 13 years in Medway

Pigment is missing from the feathers. Better known as a partial albino Robin. Below is a link to Cornell's website with info on it.
Picture was sent in recently by Richard Blethen who had seen it multiple times but could'nt seem to find it anywhere.This one stumped us also but after sending it around to multiple sources, we found the answer and posted May 30th, 2009.

The male Rose-breasted Grosbeak, boldly patterned in black, white, and rose, is easily identified
"Spooky the Owl". This Screech-Owl, was posted May 9th 2009 & was sent in by Richard Bloom from our mail list. "This is our backyard owl who has been with us for about 1 year". Screech-Owls readily move into a man made box as shown in this picture. Your should try it!

Hi Ellen, I went out today to check the baby bluebirds and got some photos of them with their mouths open. Thought I would share them with you. First noticed in the early fall, he stuck around all fall, winter, and spring, up until a few weeks ago. We would feed him warm mealworms every morning, (he really looked forward to them and would be waiting) and occasionally apple pieces. He was a real treat for us because he was not supposed to be here in the east at all! Their breeding habitat is open shrubby areas across Canada, Alaska and the western United States
